Also known as Somu, I'm a frontend engineer working across React, Next.js, TypeScript, design systems, and web performance.
Came to frontend the long way: + B.E. Civil at BITS Pilani, then fell for the craft of interfaces.
Two things carried over. Lab work taught me to change one variable at a time and write down what actually happened, which turns out to be most of debugging. Civil taught me to think in tolerances and load paths, the same instinct that now goes into token layers, cache boundaries, and what a component does under the worst real payload rather than the demo one.
Interfaces won because the feedback loop is immediate: a bad decision is visible on the first interaction, and fixable the same afternoon.
